Film Noir, those dark films of mystery and suspense, of the hard-boiled detective and femme fatale, of dark city streets and high heels on wet pavement, of danger and intrigue, of Double Indemnity, The Maltese Falcon, and The Killers. These films captured a "look," a stark, dimly lit view of the urban world that carved out a niche in American cinema.
I have a strong interest in replicating the appearance of those classic film noir movies from 1939 to 1959 in portraiture.
The slide show at right shows my beginnings - some examples
of my Film Noir attempts interspersed with some images of movie posters from classic film noir movies.

In 2009 I will be expanding this Film Noir Portraiture secton of my Web site. For only a limited time, I will be willing to offer a no-cost Time for Images session to capture these style images, and I will be looking for interested photogenic people to participate.
I already have many authentic items of clothing, props, and period pieces to use in replicating that film noir look.
If you have an interest in working with me in being photographed in film noir style,
to discuss the possibilities of a Time for Images session at no cost to you.
